Terms of Service
Version of 20 October 2026
This is an English translation of the Russian-language document. If the two versions differ, the Russian version prevails.
1. General provisions
1.1. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern the use of the RustOtvet website (rustotvet.ru) and the Doodle program (together, the “Service”) provided by the Service administration (the “Administration”).
1.2. By using the Service — visiting the site, running the program or paying for services — the User confirms that they have read the Terms and accept them in full. If the User does not agree, they must stop using the Service.
1.3. The Service is intended for persons aged 18 and over.
1.4. RustOtvet is an unofficial community project. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios. The Service is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios or Valve Corporation and is not part of the game.
2. Services
2.1. The Service provides intangible digital services: the Doodle program for painting images on signs in Rust; a player tracker — information about game accounts from public sources; and a subscription that unlocks these services without per-use payment. The site's reference sections (questions and answers, calculators) are free.
2.2. The list of paid services, their prices and conditions are published on the “Prices and payment” page and shown to the User before payment.
2.3. The Service does not sell in-game items, skins or accounts and does not run gambling, betting or prize draws for money.
3. Account
3.1. Login is via a Steam account (OpenID). The Service does not receive or store passwords. The User is responsible for keeping access to their Steam account secure.
3.2. One person may have one account. Accounts created to bypass limits or obtain bonuses are blocked together with their balance.
3.3. The User may delete their account at any time on the “Balance” page. On deletion, login links, login history and notifications are erased, questions and answers remain on the site anonymised, and the remaining balance and unfinished requests are cancelled and are not transferred to a new account.
4. Balance
4.1. Settlements within the Service use an internal unit — the credit. One credit corresponds to one Russian rouble. A credit is not money or an electronic means of payment: it can only be used to pay for Service services and cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for money or skins, or transferred to another user.
4.2. The balance is topped up with Rust skins from the User's Steam inventory. The amount credited equals 60% of the skins' price on the Steam Community Market, is fixed when the request is created and is shown before the trade is sent. Sending the trade means agreeing to the amount. Other payment methods, if available, are listed on the “Prices and payment” page.
4.3. A top-up request is valid for one hour and includes at most 20 items; the minimum request is 100 credits. One payment or top-up cannot exceed 10,000 credits.
4.4. The balance is credited after Steam confirms the trade was accepted. If the trade did not arrive, was declined or expired, nothing is charged and the skins stay with the User.
4.5. If the skins were accepted but the balance was not credited due to a Service error, the User contacts support: the Administration credits the balance according to the transaction log or returns the skins in a reverse trade.
5. Subscription and Doodle
5.1. For the paid term, a subscription gives tracker lookups without per-use payment within the plan's daily quota and Doodle pictures without paying for each one. A subscription is taken for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months or for life; a month is 30 days, a year is 365 days. A lifetime subscription is valid while the Service operates. The price is charged from the balance once for the whole term. There is no auto-renewal.
5.2. A Doodle key is issued to every User who logs in to the Service and works on one computer. Passing the key to third parties is prohibited: a key that is being distributed may be disabled without a refund.
5.3. Without a subscription a Doodle picture costs 20 credits. The charge is taken from the balance when the Service has prepared the drawing and the program starts painting. Repeating the same picture on the same sign within three hours is not charged again. If funds are insufficient, the program does not start painting and nothing is charged.
5.4. The clan plan is for the owner and two more members: a shared pool of lookups and Doodle keys that the owner issues to members. An issued key works while the owner's subscription is active.
5.5. When changing plans, the unused remainder of the current subscription is converted into days of the new plan at the per-day price. Days received via a promo code are not included in the conversion.
5.6. A promo code gives what it states, works once per account and may be disabled if it was distributed in a way other than intended.
6. Player tracker
6.1. A player lookup without a subscription costs 5 credits. The result of a paid lookup is saved in the User's history and can be opened again for free; it is a snapshot at the time of the lookup.
6.2. The tracker shows data from the official Steam Web API and the Service's own server database. The Administration does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness: some data may be hidden by the player's privacy settings, and a name match does not mean the right person was found.
6.3. The tracker is intended for personal checks of fellow players. Mass or automated data collection and reselling access are prohibited and are grounds for terminating access without a refund.
6.4. A player who does not want their profile to be found through the tracker may contact support — the profile will be excluded from search.
7. Payment and refunds
7.1. Payment is made on the terms shown on the “Prices and payment” page before payment. Access to a paid service is granted automatically right after payment.
7.2. Due to the intangible nature of the services, no refund is made for a service already provided (a completed lookup, a painted picture, a used subscription period).
7.3. If a service was not provided due to a technical fault of the Service or access was not granted, the User may contact support within 14 days of payment. The Administration extends the term, returns credits to the balance or refunds the payment.
7.4. The User agrees not to dispute a payment with a bank or payment system without first contacting Service support.
8. Content and conduct
8.1. Insults, threats, spam, advertising cheats, selling accounts, links to malicious resources and other actions that violate the law are prohibited.
8.2. The Administration may remove materials that violate the Terms without warning.
8.3. The Administration never asks for your Steam password, Steam Guard or SMS codes and never asks you to send skins “for verification”. Such requests in the Service's name are fraud.
9. Restriction of access
9.1. The Administration may suspend or restrict a User's access to the Service for violating the Terms, for abuse, or when required by law or payment providers.
9.2. Restricting access for violating the Terms is not grounds for a refund.
10. Liability
10.1. The Service is provided “as is”. The Administration does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service or that it will meet the User's expectations.
10.2. Advice in the questions section is the opinion of players, not official recommendations. The Administration is not liable for in-game losses caused by advice or tracker data, or for the actions of third parties, including Valve and Facepunch Studios.
11. Changes to the Terms
11.1. The Administration may change the Terms. The new version is published on this page.
11.2. Continuing to use the Service after a new version is published means agreeing to it. Changes to top-up and charging conditions apply to requests created after publication.
12. Contacts
12.1. For any questions the User contacts support: rustotvet.ru/en/support or by email rustotvet@gmail.com.
